Douglas R. Laurie, M.Ed., D.C., is President and co-owner of American Learning Systems, which operates American Heritage Schools, as well as other corporations.

Dr. Laurie attended American Heritage Schools and then received his Masters in Education and Administration.

In the 25 years that Dr. Laurie has been in his position, the schools have grown into one of the largest private schools in the United States. They have achieved the rankings of number one school in the U.S. in math competition and number one private school in the U.S. for highest number of National Merit Scholars, as well as a 94 percent pass rate on Advanced Placement exams and an expanded curriculum with over 300 course choices.

Dr. Laurie is married and has a son, Jackson, 14, who is an American Heritage student. In his free time, Dr. Laurie enjoys fishing, scuba diving, and spending time with his family and friends.
