Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Business and Life

Sean is a lifelong diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practitioner. Engrained in his consulting practice, leadership, and community engagement style, he believes that DEI should be foundational in who we are and how organizations are led. Sean is skilled in leveraging a broad understanding of internal and external issues to design, build and execute complex, innovative, and impactful diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies that meet company business goals foster highly productive work environments and positively impact organizational branding. Sean offers a unique perspective and keen insight when it comes to diversity & inclusion consulting. Being bi-racial and having had a multitude of personal and professional cross-cultural experiences, Sean is a global citizen who has lived, worked and traveled extensively both in the U.S. and overseas. He has vast corporate, military, and non-profit experience in both strategy and front-line operational leadership. While officially "certified", Sean has long walked the talk through operational, customer, and community-facing roles. A Navy veteran, Sean has worked for purpose-driven and people-focused companies such as Starbucks and Target. Building and leading an engaged workforce through fostering an inclusive climate is a key specialty and area of Sean's training and coaching. He authentically believes in creating and providing opportunities to those who traditionally encounter obstacles through systemic barriers. Sean's 3 boys, wife, love of travel, and fond appreciation of all things chocolate add additional flavour to his life!
